With our economy in the tank and people struggling to keep their jobs and pay their bills, and education and health service budgets being slashed, we need to look at the top fat cats--everyone needs to make sacrifices. Start with our city leaders.

I wholeheartedly agree with this idea. Our elected officials are supposed to be public servants, not public kings.
Real change needs to come from meaningful leadership. The only meaningful way to lead is through example.
Which is why I commit to cut by at least 33% the city council budget including a 33% reduction in my salary.
